Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered in a sponsored search tool is sent to the provider operating that tool. We do not maintain a separate log of the names or case numbers entered through those provider forms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message to respond or maintain our correspondence. We do not disclose it outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server and analytics information can be collected when a page loads.
- Device IP address
- Browser version
- Device and operating system
- Viewed pages and visit duration
- Referring source, if supplied
- Visit timestamps
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools help measure page performance and aggregate use. Browser settings can limit cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
We use technical information to operate and improve the resource.
- Maintain availability and speed
- Route a search to the relevant provider
- Measure which content is used
- Diagnose technical problems
- Serve advertising that may be interest based
No Court-Record Data on File
Hoke County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell court-record databases or personal case profiles. It provides public-pathway information for records kept by the Hoke County Clerk of Superior Court and North Carolina courts. It is not a consumer reporting agency and does not assemble visitor information into consumer reports about other people.
North Carolina court records are governed by court-specific access rules. N.C.G.S. § 7A-109 generally permits clerk-record inspection, while confidentiality statutes and court orders can limit access.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes displayed on some pages. Their privacy practices, retention periods, and sharing decisions are controlled by their own policies. Review those policies before giving a provider information.
Links to Other Websites
Links to court, clerk, Portal, and other resources take you to independently operated pages. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this resource. Advertising partners may also collect activity on their own systems for ad delivery.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information can be processed by:
- Search providers receiving a submitted query
- Analytics services used for traffic measurement
- Advertising networks placing advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement entities responding to a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No online system can guarantee complete security, so visitors should avoid submitting sensitive information through channels not intended for it.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If a minor has supplied information to us, contact us so the issue can be reviewed and addressed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on residence, a visitor may have rights related to personal information. North Carolina’s public-record law does not override court-record confidentiality rules, and court files should be requested through the Hoke County clerk rather than through this private resource. Visitors may ask about data we hold about their own contact correspondence.
- Request a copy of personal correspondence held by us
- Ask us to correct inaccurate contact information
- Request deletion where retention is not required
- Ask about applicable processing choices
Updates to This Policy
